Is the same carrier bearing used for both the manual and auto driveshafts?

Are you able to use the auto driveshaft on a 5 speed? Only asking cuz i had mine swapped years ago and need to know if its the auto or manual shaft so I can get the right part? How do i tell the difference?

The carrier bearings are different between auto and manual transmissions.

The rear portion of the drive shaft can be used on both auto or manuals but must match the differential that the car has. An S14 with ABS will have a shorter rear section due to a longer diff snout to accommodate the ABS sensor.

The front section of the drive shaft is dependent on which transmission you use.
