A Cusco/Kazama tension roc brace adds the benefit of adjustment, then you can just weld a box section in out of plate steel.
STR makes a brace that ties in between the forward holes in the OE brackets also.

Silk Road makes a neat looking one that replaces the entire t/c bracket and has the bar

That doesn't replace the OE brackets, it augments them by tying into the frame rails forward of the core support. I bought one about a year ago and tried it out, but I wasn't happy about the loss of the towhook.

how did it perform?
No different than a Power Brace or anything else similiar.

Also PowerTrix sells a brace that ties the tension rods together. It's adjustable, good quality and about $90 shipped. There is a thread on here somewhere if you're interested (search for powertrix). Here is a pic:

There's not really a huge gain by adding a lot of bracing there, the Cusco or similiar bar (Powertrix above, same thing) will add some, so will a Power Brace. The gain from using the Nismo peice is that you box in the OE brackets, that's where a lot of the flex in the chassis takes place. You could do all the above bars together, but the gain from each one after another won't be noticeable.
And you can build a Power Brace pretty easily with plate steel, a bar, and a welder. Crude, but effective.

I second that. Its a $2.00 bar welded between.
