I've got a stock 1989 Silvia Q's. It's got the CA18DE and everything. I'm wondering if there are any exhaust upgrades you can make to this engine? I see plenty of stuff for the SR20 motors.

I know the CA won't ever be a "fast" engine, but I just wanted to see what was actually out there that could make it a bit better.

Thanks very much.

The only thing that you could upgrade would be the exhaust manifold and turbo/downpipe. Everything else (cat back) should be chassis specific. My advice though is to just put that $ towards saving for other upgrades on the car.

I understand....Just wanted to make sure that parts would be out there.

I was looking into a cam upgrade too, as the motor isn't turbo.

Honestly I would KA swap it if you want it N/A, it would give a lot more bang for the buck than putting money in the current engine. Or save for an SR/RB/JZ/LS swap.

I'm not too interested in going much faster. The car is really nice, and all original, so I wanted to keep it close to that.

Knowing this, I might just want to invest in suspension and fine tuning to make it the best it could be in original configuration.
