We're in the final stages of a ka24de like for like swap from one chassis to another, we've got a Wiring Specialties engine and ground harness, The chassis harness has been cut up some, but with the old harness we were able to splice everything out.

We have all wires, plugs, and sensors plugged in but have no spark to plugs, and no power to distributor, also no pulse from injector harness. prior all of these parts ran in the old chassis.

New cap, rotor, wires, and plugs, All running in old chassis, also Fuel injectors were rebuild and running, no pulse at harness as tested with a NOID light.

Fuel pump is working, holding 40 PSI at fuel rail, but no injectors.

We tested all of the fuses and relays, everything seems good, and the engine cranks over solid.

Block, Head, Intake, Chassis and ECU are all grounded.

Questioning where does the ECU get power, and how to test.

Unless There is something simple I'm missing.

Thinking that the ECU may not be getting power,

Suggest u download the fsm..... eccs relay is what ur looking for

I've got a full FSM, and been tracing and splicing, No codes, and still no spark or fuel.

U have no codes cause the ecu isnt on.... again with the fsm...check power on the eccs relay...

Yup, looks like that may be the case. sitting with the wiring diagram now. unless I'm missing it a color code would have been a nice addition.

Thanks for a finger in the right direction.

ok, on the ECCS I have power to the #5 terminal on the ECCS relay, with the key on, bit no power to the #1 or #2 terminal. looks like one of those should be power, and one ground to excite the coils and close the relay. tracing back to the key switch/ under the dash to see what I'm missing,
Any ideas Speak up. not finding Color codes on the Circuit Diagram from the key to the ECCS

Can that relay be bypassed for testing?

and YES i have the FSM.

u can just the relay just feed + down the non triggerd side of the relay, that should energize the ecu/fuel pump

Link to fsm...these do have color codes for wiring..just checked

Thanks For the Info, and the lead. Admittedly chasing down a schematic is not high in my skill set.

I'll see about a temp bypass to test the ecu, and pinouts..
Fuel pump, Injectors, and dist.

So apparently the "blue" relay on the metal bracket under the dash is not the ECCS relay, That I have been testing.
The ECCS relay is actually attached to the engine harness. So I need to find it and test it.

should be located in the passenger side kickpanel by the ecu

Confirmed proper connections to the ECCS, and proper operation, Finding TDC on the motor was an easy operation, Getting good info on proper Distributor install cap wiring and rotor install has been less than clear. and as far as I can tell the online FSM I downloaded is near worthless.
In spite of all the misinformation we got it to fire, we can cross that off the white board

Ok, found the ECCS relay and used a power probe to test terminals,
KEY OFF
Black is grounded
Red on the opposite side of black 12V
Red below Black 12v
Red diagonal to Black no volts no ground

KEY ON
Black has 12v
Red opposite of black 12v
Red below Black 12v
Red Diagonal to Black no volts no ground

And you should hear the fuel pump Cycle when I turn on the key.

Or you can go dig around in the FSM for this.
hope this helps someone.
