I've seen some FWD pics, but not RWD or the stock manifold. I was thinking #1, but I was looking for some input. Also my sensor has a bung it came with. The sensor stick out is 1 1/8" with the bung, or 1 1/2" without it if I tapped the Mani. Debating which I should do as I'm worried about cracking it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200827/c0f54d3944fea1ef8c1516e68d2f5bf6.jpg

Personally I think #4 or above, before the turbo if only using 1 EGT. My understanding of going with a proper EGT setup, 1 at each exhaust port. I only have a single EGT currently because of $$$ and I have mine in my downpipe. 1 because I already have a bung for it and if I do drill into my manifold I plan on all 6 having an EGT.

1 after the turbo.

It wont be as accurate reading individual cylinders with the stock manifold

I use O2 sensor bung to hold the EGT sensor

This way it can be removed or relocated easily

The exact temperature of EGT is not important for majority of applications;
Instead, the DIFFERENCE in temperature is what counts.

For example, SR20 @ 18psi of boost and 400rwhp with:
13* Timing = 1280*F
11* Timing = 1280*F
9* Timing = 1290*F
7* Timing = 1370*F
5* Timing = 1480*F

Thus: Optimal timing is found for daily driver/ street cars at 9* btdc of timing because this is the minimum amount of timing which still results within ~5% of peak torque/power with reasonable EGT

He asked for location.....thats all

Asking for location implies a lack of understanding of how an EGT sensor is to be used. Therefore it is an inapplicable question; it is the wrong question to ask.

Whats your problem anyways
