no issues, just plug any lines that you have left over, well mine was different cauze I put the sr in at same time, and just used common sense, with some help from zilvians to run new lines to what I needed, but with the addition of soooooo much bullshit emissions on the ka, it can be a mess, so like I said, Id just plug the line, with a vaccum cap or whatever they are called, you can get them at murrys or your favorite auto store.

F S M.
It's not rocket science, look it up and find out what the line is, and where it goes. The only line that would affect the motor would be the SCV input, but it shouldn't kill it.

Why not download it now to verify the issue you're having, before you make it worse.

The Carbon Canister is part of your Evaporative Emission System & is used to reduce hydrocarbon gasses from being emitted into the atmosphere thru the fuel system. The carbon canister prevents the vapors from your gasoline tank from escaping into the atmosphere. The canister does this by storing the fuel vapors in the activated charcoals located inside the carbon canister. When you start your car up, the engine takes the fumes from your carbon canister & shoots them back into the intake.
By removing the carbon canister & opening up the vacuum line directly to atmosphere, you basically opened up a way of getting unfiltered dirt & debris into your intake manifold. The fuel system is supposed to be a sealed system, where all the gasoline vapors are supposed to be trapped in while the engine is off. When the engine is started & running, the carbon canister pulls a vacuum thru a purge valve located inside the carbon canister and forces all that vapor back into the intake.
By taking out the carbon canister, you're allowing gasoline vapors to escape unchecked into the atmosphere anytime the engine is not running. What does this mean to you? You'll lose a couple of gallons of gasoline thru that open vacuum line. You've opened up a way for the gasoline in your gas tank to evaporate.
Try not to park to close to any open flames...gasoline vapors like to travel. Any open flames near your car & gasoline vapors, well you might as well start running.....
BOOOOOOOM!!!!......

Don't believe me? Wait till summer comes around & it's hot as hell...You'll be smelling gasoline all around your car all the time.
Anyhow, hope this helps...

Some smog website said if you have a faulty gas cap you can lose up to 100 gallons of gas per year.

Your open vacuum source is coming from the missing carbon canister. The intake sucks air thru both the carbon canister and thru the EGR & Canister Control Solenoid valve. The purge valve that was in the carbon canister connected these two systems together. You're gonna have to figure out how to connect those two systems back together again. Get your hands on a FSM & check the vacuum diagrams for both the Evaporative Emission System and the EGR system. Look specifically at the carbon canister AND the EGR & Canister Control Solenoid valve. Once you look at that diagram you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Good luck....
