ALL SOLD OUT

Selling brand new pairs of JGS motor mounts. These are my favorite KA/SR motor mount because they use a billet lower section with an upper mount from a Jeep CJ5, so you can either run rubber or poly, and also easy to find replacements on the off chance one breaks (I've never broken one and I've had them for 10 years). My preferred setup is to run a rubber mount on the passenger side and a poly on the turbo side. JGS stopped making these last year, which is a bummer. I bought all the remaining stock so they wouldn't go to waste and here we are.

These are brand new. Can include either rubber or poly mounts.
Note: I don't have any more poly mounts. The part number is 2.1102g if you want to buy them yourself.

Notes: JGS used to recommend drilling out the motor mount bracket to a 7/16" hole, but I don't think I've ever done that and I've installed a half dozen sets in people's cars over the years. Also there is an allen bolt (that always goes towards the bottom of the crossmember) and the mounts are engraved for orientation depending on location. Small discussion about it here: http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=62634

It wasn't intended to be since shipping prices depends on configuration (extra mounts or not) and location, etc. and I'm not a business so I don't get some optimal rate.

Sounds good

I?m sure the rubber ones would be more toward daily driving it, absorbs more vibration, correct?

Yeah they're very smooth.

The only poly/one rubber is still very reasonable though. And on track the rubber one on the turbo side can get a little soft and allow the motor to move more. I only had problems after 15 minutes or so into a track day session, though, never a problem on the street.

Are the "vibes" a little more with the poly on the exhaust side?? I know the engine rotates to the passenger side, so may not prove a significant increase in NVH is polly exhaust/rubber drivers??

I may be interested in a set. Also, how much taller/short do these sit the engines??

Yeah a bit more, but my car is super reasonable. Hard to demonstrate/record NVH but I street drive mine to/from track days and it's not a problem or annoying. I've had full poly mounts which murdered my brain -- these are the fantastic by comparison haha.

You can set the motor higher or lower depending on where you place the allen bolt in the back side. I actually realized the other day that I have them set to the lower side (which is the opposite of what JGS recommended). My greddy oil pan on my SR sits a hair below the crossmember, maybe 1/4" (my car is tall compared to 95% of people's here). So if you set them to the taller side they're shorter than nismo mounts so about the same as OEM.

Don't you have to drill your brackets to use these?

Just popping in...

These are THE best mounts you can run on a KA. I do not care about what anyone else's opinion is regarding mounts, because any other opinions saying other mounts are better is wrong.

I've spent time with solids, poly, etc. Nothing compares.

I run the rubbers, full interior car. TBH I don't notice a difference from stock mounts in terms of vibration, but I do know that my engine stays planted. I did have to drill my mount though.

Just wanted to drop in and leave a comment for e1_griego. 10/10 experience. Already got my mounts in hand. These things are beautiful! e1_griego was even kind enough to drop a few lines of advice for my install. Get these while you can.

Did they offer a transmission mount to pair with these?

e1_griego
05-13-2020, 12:28 PM
Yeah they offered a poly trans mount, described here:

https://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=626108

I never ran it but I have taken to cutting up stock mounts like they showed and putting a poly block there (I run Peak Performance mount) so I can retain the downpipe > exhaust hanger. Gotta keep those t2 gaskets alive.

As an update I have 3 sets or mounts left -- I'm waiting on some rubber mounts to be able to ship them. Also, public apology to Andisan as I forgot to ship his out!
