there's a lot of vibration on my car when it is accelerating. i know my pilot bushing was not installed "clean" because of the crankshaft sound. it's still drivable. could the pilot bushing cause this problem? or a mount? the transmission mount that is on my car doesn't bolt on to the crossmember. it looks like there was a rubber thing that was suppose to be on the tranny mount that isn't there anymore. but i'm not sure. i compared it to the automatic tranny mount and the crossmember is bolted onto the tranny as well. all my crossmember is doing right now is supporting the rear of the tranny right now i think. doesn't the tranny mount suppose to mount to the crossmember for MT as well? could this be the problem?

The tranny mount should have a rubber isolator. That is definitley your problem.

if all else fails you can use the rubber auto mount with the manual transmission. the fit isn't quite perfect, but VERY close

Okay wait...the tranny mount for the manual and the auto is the same...the CROSSMEMBER is different for both. So if you're still using the auto crossmember then your tranny & mount won't line up to that x-member. You need the manual crossmember.
The difference is the manual looks like a mirror of the auto one. So the place where the tranny mount bolts to it is off when compared to the manual crossmember. GET THE RIGHT PARTS!!! that's dangerous, you could blow your driveshaft or maybe even the tranny....

Tu, if you did what he described above and used the auto trans crossmember than you are in a very dangerous situation .
