Looking for some clarification as research online has yielded pretty inconsistent answers.

I have an S15 Spec S equipped with ABS and an open diff. I am not sure if all S15's CAME with ABS or not, this is one of those inconsistent facts I'm finding online.

I'm running an S14 SR20DET swap mated to the S15 SR20DE 5 SPD transmission.

I've found an S15 HLSD for sale locally and would really love to pick it up, but the ad specifically mentions it's a non-ABS unit and that it comes with a speed sensor. The seller herself doesn't know much about the unit or S15's in general so getting clarification if this will work in my application is difficult. From what I can see in the images the half-shafts (I think that's what they are called) are 3x2, which I believe mates up to my car perfectly.

It's just this whole ABS / non-ABS nonsense that has me second guessing pulling the trigger on an HLSD that I really really want!

Thanks for any insight you guys are able to provide!

IIRC every s15 differential has the speed sensor in the snout by the driveshaft flange. Regardless if ABS or Non-ABS chassis. The HLSD should bolt right up to your Spec S. The S15 ABS uses the front spindle and rear output shaft sensors.

Thanks for your help! Picking up an HLSD this weekend :)
