I called the dealer to get the price on a new headliner and a rearview mirror.  $396 for the headliner and $90 for the mirror. How exactly could these 2 parts cost that much money? I mean the headlier is just some molded cardboard with fabric covering? I'm seriously interested in knowing what causes these parts to be so expensive.

In My s-10 they told me it would be only 40$ for my head liner. i know it is a truck but im shure it wont be to much more for your car.  i know what u mean about stock prices. for a new bumper for my truck was 369! and a new grill was like 200-300
i got a Phantom grill and bumper for about $600 it is insane about the prices from the factory damn gm  :!:

Never go to the dealer for parts, well parts like yours. I rather go look for it myself somewhere lese.

My dumbass friend was gonna get a Porsche 944 (na) but I talked him out of it showinf me some parts prices. While the price of a car may go down, the price of parts rarely does.
