The time has finally come to list my last and favorite classic JDM car. As we get closer to finishing up downsizing our collection to a more manageable fleet (The 62 Chrysler 300H will be ready next), I’ve finally finished up all the small things on the FD I’ve had on my list to do and its come time to sell. She is by far the most beautiful car I’ve ever owned and my fifth RX-7(4 FC’s). But the reality is that between everything I have going on in life these days, I don’t have the time/energy/enthusiasm to wrench on her that I’d like to have, even just simply finding time to drive her is a challenge. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into getting her to where it sits today and as much as I’ve been putting off listing her for sale(For about half a year now), the therapy alone of getting to work on one of my hero cars when I did have the time and energy was worth owning her.
So without further ado - for sale is my 93 Base model (no sunroof, spoiler, or rear windshield wiper) Brilliant Black, Single Turbo BW SXE 362, Race port RX-7. The motor was originally built and tuned by Angel Motorsports in 2016. On the Dyno is made 469 RWHP at 16 PSI. The motor was refreshed as of 10/10/2017 with 2500 miles on it due to low vacuum under warranty by Angel Motorsports. It currently has approx 500 miles on the refresh as of 5/7/19 and should be retuned at 1,500 miles. Mini laptop/tablet with tuning software and windshield mount will be included at no additional charge. The car is currently running on a break in tune for 93 octane with boost cut set to 8psi and is easily streetable on it.
The chassis has 131,005 miles on it and is straight without a single dent or ding. I recently had full paint correction done in December of 18' so while the paint is 25 years old and not perfect, as you can see in the pictures still looks great for its age. I repainted the interior trim as many have done on Rx7Club and it looks great, also added in carbon fiber door sils. A works Bell hub connects you to a brand new Nardi Personal 350mm Challenge steering wheel. The weighted DC shift knob with brand new shifter bushings feels great. Unfortunately, as is standard the driver’s side door pocket lid is broken, and one door speaker(passenger) does not work. The defroster vent on the dash has been replaced with a black painted aluminum one from LRBSPEED. If I get time, I will replace the speaker it has just never been a priority to me as the cars roaring loud already. She’s sporting a brand new authentic Seibon carbon fiber hood as the old VS CF hood I had previously was showing its age and had already been recleared once. The water pump was just replaced 1/19 with an OEM Mazda pump. The 4WheelABS light has recently came on and I haven’t had time to diagnose it and check the sensors for it.
Stock wheels will be included if the new owner would like time, along with a couple extra bottles of boost juice meth and some bottles of Idemitsu Premix. No big rush to sell, I enjoy taking her out occasionally and seeing her every day I walk through my shop. I am asking $26,500 obo. Test drives for serious buyers with proof of funds only.
