NEED HELP with starter

Well.... i was trying to get my oil filter off... broke my belt, was my only one too, and tore up my hand too, then i was ganna try a filter wrench.. i gronded something and sparks flew..(the wrench didnt fit) later on i went to start my car and nothing... lights all work and gauges are fine but i dont here a click when i turn the key... and the ST singnal fuse is fine.. is my starter fried? im gann pull it off and test it but if anyone has any idea i want to avoid that cuz it dont look fun..

first thing you need to do is jump a screwdriver accross your starter to see if its working or not. You need to make a connection between the big power cable, and the starter signal wire. If it turns over, its fine, and you lost the signal somewhere between the ignition and the signal wire.
