Its 2019 and its time to get real and I REALLY never drive my S13 on the street, which is where these coilovers are absolutely unbeatable at any price range. They are independently adjustable for damping and rebound. Spring rate is progressive. With the right set of tires, these destroy all takers in your canyon or mountain road of choice. And ride like a dream during your trips to the vape shop.
I have 3 other cars and a truck. I have owned these for 4 years. I may have driven my car twice on the street last year and that was just to put E85 in the tank and to the alignment shop before I trailered the car to events. The previous 3 years, I was "building" motor :picardfp: . You can read this as swapping 3 "Known good", Craigslist motors in before having an engine builder do it the right way.
My car lives in a temp controlled garage. These have never seen rain or snow on open roads. Realistically, my car is a drift car. As such, these have seen a handful of drift days. But I am 40 and have been drifting since I was 12 (on a 4 wheeler before I had even heard of drifting, and then for 8 years in Japan when I was 20). No accidents or contact with other vehicles. No major shocks to the driveline (Bashing curbs, dirt drops, etc). I called KW and asked them about rebuilding and they said "WHY??" These coils are meant to work for 50K+ miles before rebuilding and I am sure I dont even have 1,000.
The only trades I will consider are for track/drift oriented coilovers from Major brands. I find I actually prefer the American/EU brands to the oversprung/underdamped Japanese ones. Sorry, not interested in your Chinese stuff.
