I now have the plugs for the coil driver and connector for the CBR packs. So its a case of running your own wire and off you go

Sorry this is not a purchase inquiry but what is the best coil setup out of all these?

Hey bud! Saw you on the livestream at time attack last week. Good work!

As it stands, the CBR coils are the best of the bunch. However, I have seen all make great power without issues. Suzuki/Scorch racing/Naprec built used to run S15 coils on his VET. Mazworx use the CBR/AEM coils on their 2000HP monster.

So the CBR set would get my nod.

FYI, plugging an S13 coil pack harness into S15/VQ35/QR25 coil packs will fry them. The power and ground wires are flipped on the S13 SR harness vs. the S14/S15 harness, but the connectors are physically identical.


Fried a set of S15 coils figuring that one out.

^^ Correct. It literally take less than 2 mins for all four as the connector retainer pops right off and the clips are swapped in literally seconds :)

Assuming you know and do this before powering it up. Just thought I'd throw it out there, as it's one of the more stupid things I've seen in the S-chassis world...
