<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> thanks for your responds guys, anyone have answer to my question about the 3000 gt?
A '97-'98 Should run ~15.8-16.3 stock, depending on your driving ability.
About the 3000gt,
it's got a good 70 hp and 40 ft/lbs torque over the 240, but the s14 has a 1000lb advantage as well as RWD....
Judging by most stats I've seen, the 3KGT would probably take you by a couple car lengths at most, but it'd probably come down to driving ability... you'll definately take him off the line tho...

the RWD comment didnt' imply that the 3000 was a FWD right? IIRC, they're all RWD, except the VR4, which is AWD.

It did. The base/SL models are both FWD.

The 3000gt base, SL, and Dodge Stealth base, ES, and R/T are all FWD. The RT/TT and VR4 are AWD.
If your friend has a 95 3000gt then it has 222hp. And is it a manual or automatic? If it's a manual he should be doing mid 15's and if it's an automatic i'd say low high 15's to low 16's.

So does anyone think A manual 97-98 240sx can take a base automatic nonturbo 95 3000gt? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleeping.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':zzzz:'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nervous.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':nervous:'>

I quite honestly don't think a 1997 or 1998 240 can take much of anything worth racing. It's not too fast really... but the 3000GT (Base/SL) is pretty wank in-and-of itself. At least the 240SX doesn't look as fast as the 3000GT!

can a squirrel in a REALLY F*ing big slingshot beat a quadruple turbocharged pinto??? Can he??? This post is gay. Spend your time picking on Civic EX's and getting the shit kicked out of you by WRX's rather than thinking about who has the best quarter mile time.

240sig: You certainly are a dickhead. If you want to be like that, why don't you go post elsewhere.
At any rate, you should have a pretty close run. Unfortunately, the 240 does run a little slow in the 1/4, but it really excels in the handling department.
