Help! Anti theft protection

Hey guys, so I lost my key fob, while the car was locked, and my key matches only the ignition and the trunk, I was able to get in and everything, but the anti theft protection kills the ignition and it’s still technically locked, from what I hear the best bet is to short it out and try to rest it, but do you think cutting the wires for the lock and shorting it then tape them back up would work fine? The car is un drive able currently so I’m really trying to get this fixed. My next idea would be a locksmith, but if I can get it without one I’d be really happy. Thanks guys

solder them if you do, i wouldnt use just tape. best bet is to call a locksmith
