Sealti, can you educate me of these. So these an upgrade to p11 head without any other changes? Sure I can look online but sure others wondering as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The N1 cams are much more aggressive than P11 cams especially on a turbo car it's like a whole different animal with you switch from P11 cams to N1 cams.

I have done motor where I only switch cams and never had a problem.

The low lobes are pretty normal, but the others have plenty more lift, duration and overlap with smoother ramp rates so they're quite different in the party zones.

High lobes is the issue on anything but a 800+ BHP turbo. High duration and high overlap means lots of cylinder blow down prior to max fill/pressure. Simply the turbo isn't capable of filling the cylinder to max capacity during the power stroke which translates to a loss of pressure = loss of power.

In all honesty, P11 work for a majority of applications. Get P12 if you want 6-700HP. N1 cams for anything else above that.

False - N1 cams work great on a turbo. I triggered VVL at 3200-3400 RPM on my EFR 7163 with N1 cams and they worked great with the turbo.

If a cam works well on a stockish VE engine when it's NA, it'll also work well on a reasonably sized (~400+ rwhp) turbo.

I will walk back my statement as I took internet "wisdom" as some sort of gospel.

N1 cams work well on most medium to large frame turbo setups :boink:
