hey guys.  for anyone who has coilovers or lowering springs but no shocks, hows the ride?  im close to getting eibach springs for my 89 S13, but im not sure if theyre worth getting without the complete set w/ shocks.  is the ride really bumpy/did handling decrease?  any replies are appreciated, thanks.

most people who ive seen with springs only dont like the ride. the strut always hits. i would invest the extra money if i were you.

I'd suggest getting shocks with the springs. I was riding around with only springs for about 4 months and the ride was pretty bad. I just put on tokico blues this weekend and the ride's a hell of a lot better. Not only that, my stock shocks/struts were blown to hell. They wouldn't even go back up when I compressed them, so I was basically just riding on the springs.

if you are having someone install the springs/shocks for you, it'll save you a lot of money to do it all at once, or if you're installing yourself, it'll save you an afternoon in the garage
