I have a 96 240sx se and ive been swapping out a KA to KA for the last 3 weeks of my life. The engine i bought was supposedly a 96 KA with about 90k miles but guess what, its not, not even close. The motor turns out to be between a 91-94 KA and as far as how many miles it has on it, i dunno, but i do know this the piston rings are fried on it and the timing chain has a beastly rattle and the top guide was completely broken and the engine spits out thick black smoke. Before i bought the motor i asked them in detail about how the engine performed before it was pulled out of a 96 240sx, the folks at southernautoparts.net told me it ran great and had no type of rattling or mechanical defects. All of what they told me was bullshit! They are liars. I am now going to have to pull the engine out and ship it back to them. Take my advice, don't buy shit from southernautoparts.net. don't make the same mistake i made. My swap project has turned out to be a complete disaster as well as a waste of time thanks to the folks at southernautoparts.net

Why didn't you buy from a reputable dealer? What's their warranty?

b/c i didn't know any better. Since i know better now, im gonna have to spend a lil extra to get a motor that worth a shit. it came with a 90 day warrenty. i think i have about 60days left on the warrenty. Do u guys know any reputable dealers that sell KA's or KA-T
