Silly question, I've been bleeding my cooling system all this time with my blender door actuator on "cold" slider was on hot but the rod was bent and wasn't able to change to "hot"
Now, should I go ahead and bleed my system again or does it make a difference?

it can make a difference as an air bubble can get trapped there...not always but usually...I would recommend bleed again

The '97 240 does not have a heater shutoff valve. Coolant will always have 100% flow through the heater core regardless of the temperature position you set. The temperature switch simply directs air through or around the heater core.

Cool I always do heater open just in case but thank you for the info for being vehicle specific!
