who are you shipping with? fedex is only $140 for 4 assembled 18" wheels, with $1500 insurance. its cheaper if you disassemble em, i've shipped a 17" set of panas to AJ for like $80

were they charging you to box everything up?

I normally buy new boxes at staples for $6 each. they have a 20x20x20 box that works well for 17-18" wheels, you can get two wheels per box (assembled) as long as they're 9" wide or narrower

I believe that they are mid-disk : they will clear Z32 brakes because that's what I am running on my S14
