I know this has been asked a thousand times I have searched and no thread really gives any facts just says peoples opinions and most of the opinions come from people who have only used one product so they are obviously one sided. I want to know which lsd is better kaaz has a new unit out that is 2-way and I think it is the only one that they carry now for the 240sx. And nismo has 2 or 3 options, I cant really get any info on what is actually offered by nismo. I have seen 2-way, gt pro 2way, and 2way sss. Now what is the difference between these 2 or 3? I think the sss might be the same as the 2way. Also which of these is the better more reliable, smoother engaging, better on the street, better on the track diff's? I am looking for a 2way that will lock up quick and stay locked, I think the deftforce is overkill for a street track car but I want something I can drive everyday beat on on the weekends and still drive the next week. Any opinions would be great! thx

the nismo sss is out of production replaced by the g.t. pro. search "kaaz" and there are a lot of comparison with the nismo and kaaz lsds.

Kaaz and Nismo are both awesome diffs. You cant go wrong with either one. I dont know how much the gt pro costs but i think it's adjustable. I wouldnt be nitpicky unless you really need to. From my experience in drifting, i like my diff at 100% so i dont see the point in adjustability.

Did you think about ATS differentials? Another option.....

I think the ats is too much for the street I might go 1.5way anyone drive the 2way togue or track (grip) how does it affect the turn in? I love the way the car turns in easy right now and I dont want to have to fight the diff when I am griping. Which nismo is that for $750? Is it the sss or the gtpro? What did they do to upgrade the gtpro to replace the sss?

That nismo is the "street type" lsd. I wouldnt bother with it. for the same price you can get a racing lsd from kaaz. i think the gt pro is like 1200 or 1300 bucks. they dont make the sss anymore.

just got an email from a nismo parts dealer and they have the gtpro for $800 so I might go with that.

seriously doubt its gtpro, those go for over $1k, post up part number so we can tell you wheter its nismo gt or gtpro, gt can be found at most nissan parts, gtpro seems to be only through importers...

yea, the nismo street diff only has like 4 clutch plates, my buddy has the ats deft force, has like 16 and locks like a mofo. I hear that the ats deft and the cusco mz are going to have the hardest lockup, but that is reflected in the price, both being 1200ish. Im thinking kaaz for around 800 will do it for me, but if i have the cash i might go deft force.

hmm what about for highway racing, which do you think would be the best. I'm thinking NOT the one with the highest lockup lol. mabye the nismo street one will work good for me =)

you wont need an LSD if you are racing on highways, which you should not be doing altogether.

yeah, i'm intrested in purchasing the NISMO unit as well, phase 2 has them for about 750+ so that suits my budget, also i dont like noises. verry picky. shitty aint it but oh well. anyhow i helped a couple frends in santa cruz a while back put their kaaz ways in, one s13 and one 14 and it wasnt too hard. id have to say the hardest was gettin teh damn diff in the pumpkin and puttn teh diff on the subframe. that was a bitch. anyhow anyone have any instal info for the nismo unit. im shure it hte same but im just askin

sorry to steal the thread but any opinions comparing the cusco with the kaaz? cusco is definetly more expensive than kaaz, but is there such a great difference? I am considering kaaz myself, but i also would be interested in cusco, just because its cusco. cusco has good quality.
