Hey guys I know google is still around but my problem is kinda weird I guess or I’m just not the brightest. Anyways, when I turn the key it clicks once but doesn’t even try to engage or turn the starter. I swapped my old engine harness over and kept the interior harness from the column to the fuse box. The other part of the harness was swapped over. Any ideas why it’s doing this? Would a entirely new engine harness from wiring specialties fix this issue? I just want to drive it. Thanks I’m prepared for some “your a dumbass” comments but it’s okay I probably deserve it lol. Thanks in advance

the lower trans harness is what has most of the starter circuit. I don't think the engine harness has anything to do witht he starter motor but it sounds like the little black signal wire isn't connected or has a break in its ciruit

That makes sense where can I locate the trans harness?

Obviously from the trans back but I mean it looks okay and everything is connected. Maybe pull it and check it?

make sure youre in neutral (in a perfect world this wopuldnt matter but neutral will be safer)
Touch the 2 big posts on the starter together with a screw driver to see if it spins
