since i was unable to attend the first meet that i helped set up a month or two back because i was a jackass in my car, id like to see if any of you SF guys are down for another, bigger one? we should get a bigger lot, because i saw that you guys ran a little short of parking at the first one. if anybody is down, we can do it anytime AFTER 11/18. heh...i have an appt at dmv to re-get my license after my 30 day susp. so i was thinking sometime that weekend. im open anytime, so whatever the group consensus is, im down for. hope it gets off

i think there's a lot of sf people that want to meet... but there's really no good place for a big meet, which sucks because that means most of us have to drive across the bay for something decent. but if someone thinks of a place i'll be there.

It would work if my preconditions were met. 1) The meet was held durring daylight (hence no bonfire), 2) I TOLD PEOPLE TO BRING SWEATERS!
and a new precondition that would make it more effective is to bring an armada of palates (large SUV or truck would be optimal)

last time i went to ocean beach at night, some kind of cop/ranger/guy was walking down the beach telling everyone they had to put out their fires (there were about 6 fires going that night).
then as the guy proceded to the next fire, the fire he just ordered put out would start up again ahah.

A weekend day meet at the marina green is a good place to meet.

Public parking lot, no police will mess with you unless you are doing stupid stuff and attracting attention.

Lots of open grass to picnic or just stand around the parking lot and talk. Awesome view of the ocean and Golden Gate bridge.

There's been a few car meets there before and never any problems.

Yea it's gonna be one of those BBQ meet again. We got some better beaches at SF, ocean beach is the last you want to go to anyways. Or we can do this in Golden Gate Park. I had one there before, man it was fun. We played football, soccer, frisbe. Blah, screw the beaches, it's too sandy anyways HAHHA.

If anyone feels like meeting up in a parking lot somewhere and then heading to the actual "meet spot" I think it'd be kind of cool....a HUGE caravan of 240's....might attract TOO much attention, though.
Anyway, the only place that I could think of with a GINORMOUS parking lot nearby SF (actually south of the city) is the Serramonte mall.
I remember last time that a bunch of people from the south were supposed to meet at the Daly City In-N-Out. I dont know if that actually happened, but Serramonte might be a good before-meet-meeting place for anyone around there.

Just go down Marina Blvd. There's Marina Green park, Fort Mason, etc.. There's plenty of room for sports, hella people fly kites over there

Another good spot for future reference is Treasure Island - MR2 club just had a big meet there last month - they had over 75 cars and hung out there all day.

That's the thing... I don't know! I just know how to get there.

And yes, its "right" assuming you're coming from SF. You pass through the little checkbox thing, and turn right on the very first street. GO all the way down and there's a lot on the right.

If I have time tomorrow, I'll go peep it out and take pics to help everyone out.
