Good:
79K original miles (just drove this from Bowling Green, KY to Atlanta and back last week). Car is solid.
No Sunroof
Very Clean
Cusco Coils
Apex'i N1 Dual
JVC DVD Player w/ bluetooth, etc. and JBL speakers all around.
Everything works (cruise, wipers, sprayer, trunk/hood release, etc.)
Two brand new rear tires (~1000 miles). Front two have plenty of tread but should be replaced due to age.
New O2, plug wires, thermostat, power steering o-ring
Have majority of manual swap that will be included (missing clutch, driveshaft, few small odds and ends)
OEM Front Lip
Interior is in great shape with almost perfect floor mats (pic is before cleaning)..only small nicks on door cards. Dash is perfect as is center section except for small crack in radio surround. Even trunk carpet, etc. is all there.

Bad:
Paint is shiny but previous owner must have let tree sap sit too long so it has tiny clear coat spots
Small dent where driver rear quarter meets bumper (see 4th pic)
CEL for PCV and EGR...that's all
Believe it needs diff bushings
Auto

$7500

He could ask whatever he wants when not many comps.

Not all that interesting. That's what it's going to take for me to part with it. Otherwise, I'll keep it and keep improving on it.

He could ask whatever he wants when not many comps.

Kind of what I was thinking. I had been looking forever for an unmolested non-sunroof car. Maybe it's just me, but I never want another sunroof car if I can help it.

Car is clean It's just going to be hard(well harder) to sell it here for that much because everyone expects more for 7k and not many collectors here which is what you need to find for this car

Man is this really where things are headed? I bought my 1995 240sx manual trans for $3,500 10 years ago in basically same condition, no check engine light tho..

Maybe if the car wasn't dented and throwing check engine codes. GLWS.

Nice car but thats a high price man just saying ! Glws ! I sold my kouki a while ago for $4000 with xxr’s and BC coilovers with 130k miles. @gomzmemo instagram for proof. I’ll be on the market for another 240 in a couple months.

Chris is a solid guy in the 240 scene before the majority of this board had pubes. Bump.

Damn. Hardtop, auto s14... As much as this should be preserved in stock form kind of as a collector's item, it would also be the perfect blank canvas for an epic build.
Im sure the right buyer will come forward. Glws.

It's not just you. It looks cleaner and the extra headroom along with improved rigidity is well worth it.

just wait for the right buyer to either offer you Near your asking price. I personally bought a bone stock 98 Kouki - Slick Top - KR5 for 6k. Trans was getting ready to go out and motor as well. I bought it for the shell only to be honest. Now it's getting a 2jz Big single with quality parts. GLWS OP! Im sure you will get somewhere near your asking price.

Sadly I think this is where things are headed...

For the last few months I was searching for a rust-free s14. I was hoping to pay in the $3750-$4500 range for a rust free KA car depending on mileage.

I ended up getting outbid like on 3 different cars, some sold well within the $5K range and they were nothing special

The 240 hype is still real, and with the limited number of clean cars left the prices have really gone up. Especially in areas like Chicago where the scene is real, but so is the rust. People are willing to pay up.

GLWS OP, someone will give you $5K easy I think

the sellers price is not that unreasonable...its supply and demand. He'd be a fool to sell for KBB

For an all original car you're not going to find many for this affordable. Rusted out stock guys are selling for $4k with 200k miles...

Low mileage slick top SE In a color that doesn’t suck. You do you. Everyone crying should try to find something similar. It took me months. I still had to pay up. Bump for this virgin.

Reading some of these hating comments really displays the immaturity on these boards. It’s very clear why the values of our cars will struggle to rise. If you don’t have anything positive to say about the member posting, keep your comments to yourself.

If I was in the market I'd like to pay 6k but would come up to 6500 maybe even 6750 because I know the chances of finding something like this are just getting slimmer and slimmer. Good price

Is this where I bring up that near-mint 911SC that I could have bought 10 years ago for $8k? Last time I checked, we don't live 10 years ago.

Worth the money to someone who isn't going to turn it into a missile. Clean 240's are becoming rarer and rarer.

Now that most 240s are practically beat to shit, of course those in good or better condition would become an investment.

Hold onto your asking price. This is a perfect example of a clean platform that someone could use to build into whatever they want. I sold my '97 Kouki with 87k miles for $19.5k in January 2017, granted it had a properly built RB25 and plenty of suspension mods. From my experience, the reason why it sold for such a price is because the car wasn't ruined. Interior was almost bone stock besides the 3 gauges on the a-pillar. Exterior was bone stock besides the WORK VS-XX's.

After law school, I plan on purchasing a bone stock S14 and having a reputable shop (RS SPEED DESIGN located in GLENDALE CA) restore and build the car exactly the way I want. If I was in the market, I would definitely pay at or near asking price to scoop up a fresh S14 like yours. Don't listen to the typical broke ass people. They were also offering me $13k for my car. And then someone flew out from the east coast with his wife and paid full asking price.

I'd also like to add... just because a car has an SR doesn't necessarily mean it's worth more than a bone stock KA24DE. SR's were cool.... 20 years ago... It really depends on what a buyer is looking for.

There are many cars with SR swaps out there, and many of those swaps are done poorly... messy wiring, no A/C, gauges don't work, etc... Someone looking for a low-mileage S14 is unlikely to be looking for a car with a shitty swap with no A/C.
