With my need for a new bumper comes the time for a kit, and soon after follows a paint job. So, I've put together a photoshop concept image for how my car will look. I'm planning on going with the Vertex kit (or, more accurately, a copy of said kit), and painting it a deep red. I'm currently contemplating having the metal flakes gold, but that may be too flashy. Graphic work on the car will probably be chrome silver vinyl.

Not shown in the pic is the NAVAN wing, which I already have, ready for paint and install, and the rims in the pic are just the ones from Vertex's demo car.

I'd like any suggestions, and I'd also appreciate any suggestions for rim choices, as I don't even know where to start with those.

Haha, the tint is actually from the demo car as well. I'm really just talking about the paint color and bodykit.

As for rims, It's not that I don't know where to look, it's just that there are so many on the market that I'm having trouble figuring out what would look good, hence my asking for suggestions. I'm thinking something in about the 17" range, and mesh, with a polished finish, would look pretty good on this setup. I doubt my current FN01RCs will, though.

Also, I'm thinking the color might be better a bit lighter, but I'm sorta liking it this way, as well.

I've made it a bit redder, I think it looks a bit better this way.

i think your car needs to be given to someone that can make these kinds of decisions on their own.

I think a subtle metallic would look good, like that metallic red that ford has right now, but maybe a bit darker. I would never use metal flake unless your installing hydraulics and 12" rims or building an old school chopper. and screw the vinyl.

It all depends on what you want. Obviously, you want something that looks good. In that case, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

I like the color. I think the dark red/maroon will look really nice. Add a large metal flake to the paint to really get it to POP! And, if you are going with a red/maroon/wine color (wine is probably the best way to describe my favorite red/maroon color), then a brone or gold wheel is going to be your best bet, hands down.

Good luck. I'm not a show-car guy, so I'm not going to be any help. But, good luck, nonetheless.

This car's not going to be a showcar in the least. I'm going to beat the hell out of it in the canyons and at the track.

As I said, those rims are just the ones that were on the car in the pic I used, I'm not planning on using anything like them.

I don't know why I said metal flake, I was thinking metallic. I should have clarified that I was considering a gold metal flake, for crazy bling, but that idea is way over the top.

Also, I have my own ideas for the car, I just wanted to hear what other people thought of it. I actually know exactly which rims I want, but I can't find them. (BIM-CS Down Hill Special) I'm thinking some gold meshies might be nice, though.

Graphic work will be text-only, and limited to parts I actually have and orginaztions to which I belong. No extra crap on it. But I've seen an S15 with a similar paint/decal scheme (it's actually the one in the opening FMV of Kaido Battle), and it looks great.

Each and everyone of us needs to feel that bit of superiority to the next guy because of our "mainstream JDM" "hardcore JDM" "just hardcore" or "I think I have better taste than YOU" decisions that garner praise and envy from our fellow auto enthusiast, that in turn inflate our egos and allow us to "school" the next guy because he hasn't acheived the same level of domination of majority opinion. Is that why we ask these questions? Reliance on society's views and opinions towards us and our most outward expressions, in this case our mobile suit, the car?

In all honesty, I came up with the concept, and wanted to know what people thought of the idea. It'll give me a bit of insight into how the car itself will be recieved when it's done.
