So I own a 1995 240sx. I was driving and all of a sudden I started losing power until it died. Ever since it will crank but not start. So it’s cranking but not starting “turning over.” It’s getting fuel because it will shoot a mist of gas out when the spark plug is removed. It’s getting spark because the plugs arc when grounded to the bay or block. It sucks in air through the intake so it’s getting air. It just won’t fire. The timing is at least close to being right because it will spark as soon as the most of fuel comes out. It will even ignite it. Just will not when everything is buttoned up. I have read all other posts about this and nothings seeming to work. Even thought maybe it was flooded so we've ran it without the pump to clear it out and nothing we have done has made a difference. I've gotten a new distributer cap and spark plugs as well. Ideas?

Did your alternator die?

When is the last time you replaced your ignition coil

I haven’t replaced it. Also now that we check I am currently not getting spark. Could a bad distributor produced spark but not let the car start but then completely not work?

Start with a coil before you go to the distributor.

You can also check your cap and rotor too.

Sounds like a bad distributor or bad wiring, had that problem on mine.
