I know you people are going to say search but i could not find exactly what i was looking for. Does any one have pics of a -8 or -5 offset wheel on an s13? Im just curious to see if it would stick out past the car with out fender flares or wide fenders or anything. Thanks.

offset has absolutely no meaning if you don't specify width.

find an offset calculator online.
generally agreed upon 7" with a +12 offset is flush, of course with 0 camber. so compare from that to see how many mm a -5 or -8 will stick out, depending solely on width of the wheel.

if 7+12 is flush then

6 -6 will be nearly flush and stick out a few mm more
7 -6 will be 18mm more inwards and 18mm past the fender
8 -6 will be like 30ish mm past the fender
9 -6 will be like 45ish mm past the fender

this doesn't look like 30mm to me. how about you?

that is a s14...

i based those number off the other guy who said 7 +12 is flush for s13.

those number are based off each inch more to width = about 13mm more inside and outside.

S13 and S14 rear wheel fitment is the same, it's the fronts that S14's can use lower offset wheels.

then I guess I should be addressing Rancid:

obviously with the pic I posted of my car, 7J +12 is not flush if 8J -6 is.

i guess this all boils back down to your definition of flushness. imo that 8w -6 sticks out maybe 15mm.

Sorry guys, 7.5 width

hahahaha yea I guess you are right, it's all in the definition.

It looks farther than it is, it's like 10mm.

8J -6 is not flush. Especially with a normal sized tire and 0 camber....

Sorry guys, 7.5 width

according to rancids definition and the numbers i put up, that'd be about 25mm past the fender (roughly 1inch)

also if u go buy 8 +5 being flush (about what rbs14 is saying), then 7.5 -6 would stick out a bit... maybe 4 or 5mm.

edit : btw what happened to noke...? just noticed ur sig.

zero camber eh? why the fuck would you do that? stock is -1.5. that's the minimum! i've got a 205/55/16 on the wheel in that pic. that's not "normal"?

only way 7.5J +12 would be even close to "flush" is if you were running stock suspension.

205 on a 8" is stretched.
If you ran a 225 on your tire and took a pic from that angle, it would be much more obvious that your wheel/tire are a good amount past the fender.
Flushness is all relative as everyone can see.

Yes, the wheel is a bit outside the fender. 205/55 is not stretched, look at the pic. stretched is when you can fit a quarter between the bead of the tire and the rim. besides:

8" x 25.4 = 203.2mm

Can you fit a 225 tire on a 7in wide wheel? Just curious cuz i am looking at used 225/55 tires
