So i got this annoying rattling/metalic noise comming from my passenger side only while on deceleration once i push the clutch in it goes away. It sounds like its comming from my wheel well or something, and i cant for the life of me find it, any ideas? Its an s14

maybe the ECU rattling about in the kick panel? assuming you've taken your car apart before

I didnt even think about that ill have to check. Its nore outside rhough, with the window down you can hear it very clear.

That doesn’t sound like fun, if you sit still and rev the motor and let the engine decel will it rattle?
I would see what you can get it to while not driving. You use the throttle cable while having hood propped open and maybe narrow it down.

Yea i tried doing that, it doesnt really work, ill have to try again, idk wht it is but its annoying af haha.

Did the noise come about all of a sudden one day or build from something quiet to loud?

Na its been like this since i bought it a few months ago, i jist couldnt hear it because my exhaust tip was rattling, so i fixed that and thats when i was able to hear that sound. Its stayed the same the whole time.

Throw out bearing I’d guess from knowing it goes away when the clutch is in.

are you running a heat shield on the exhaust mani? mine has a a bolt snapped off so it rattles and it sounds kind of like that. definitely not near the pass side but worth a look.

Yea i was thinking maybe the throwout bearing also, and yea im running ths heat shield, ive seen some posts about your brake booster melting or some wires around that area if you dont run one.
