anyone have an article or a site perhaps where i can learn more about this? i live in ca where they hate fast cars and intend on keeping them out with stringent carb laws =[

I brought this up a few months ago on another forum. I had my shop in Sacramento (Motorsport Dynamics) call Motorex to find out the status and estimated release dates. They said Motorex was still in the very BEGINNING stages of this and was still seeing if it would be profitable.

I hope they release it though. My only thinking is that they'll release it when I am ready to buy my next car (M3). But I think I'll keep my 240 when I get my next car so I can have this as my street legal/track/commuter

gah =[
well, i guess that gives me time to get used to a 240 before swapping. i might as well upgrade it as a ka platform till that comes out. thanx for the info though, very helpful.

Well, don't lose hope. Try calling them now, maybe they'll have a date.

I spoke with the president of motorex a few months ago, and he said it would be "a while".

Either upgrade the KA, or upgrade the SR, don't do one, and then end up regretting it. I mean that money that you plan on using for the KA, could be money that you could have saved for the SR. Just remember, so long as you know someone, the swap is always legal!

lol, yah that's true... and i do know a garage that'll pass it as a ref... but i dunno, insurance will rape me hard if i get in an accident where it gets damaged (God forbid)

i guess things are lookin that i might as well just upgrade a ka instead cuz it seems like a just-as-good if not better engine anyhow from the looks of things on this board. also, its an american engine, so ill find good support for it in garages and such vs an exotic engine.
