This morning while I was driving to work I saw a green s14 (couldn't tell what year since the front end was mashed) rolling on a flatbed tow truck.
I am pretty sure I know who the owner is; he just did the SR swap in December. Is he on this forum? I know he was at the Thunderhill event a few months ago.
Anyone else hear about this?

front end damage on an SR swap.... let's hope that:
a: the engine is still ok
b: his insurance doesn't rape him for having an SR.....

I was wondering about that on the way in to work. I feel bad for that guy.

I feel bad for anyone who loves there car and it gets f'ed up... I don't feel bad for the 75 year old man in the cadillac who rear ends the guy who loves his car though. I think we should be able to take there licences and recycle there cars into wheel chairs. I hope his car is alright though, or that he wants to sell the engine to one of our eager zilvia members for a rock bottom price.

yeah... he'll probably realize that the KA was the way to go anyways. LoL
really it's the insurance that you'd have to worry about. if you get caught with an "illegal" engine... bye bye insurance settlement <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cry.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Note to SR owners - if you wreck it, have it towed home or to a shop where you really know the guys and prepare for a LOT of wrenching before the adjuster gets to it! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'> (sweet - this one's animated!<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
