Not sure what method you're using but.
This is how you do it:
1. Pump clutch pedal
2. Hold clutch pedal down
3. Have someone open the slave clyinder valve, and tighten
4. Repeat 1-3, until air is gone.
Most importantly make sure you have DOT3 brake fluid filled in your clutch resevoir.

Oh yeah, make sure you connect the clutch pedal rod to the clutch master cylinder.

If you adjust the rod too far forward it wont bleed either.. pretty much all I can think of at the moment.

If the bolt that's connected to the rod is too far forward, you're not applying any pressure to the clutch master cylinder(dunno if that is the right term) when the clutch is depressed. Try scewing the nut about half way and see if you feel any resistance. Or just take a look under the dash and see where the bolt connected to the rod is positioned.

your MC went dead i bet
mine did same when i was chaning stuff
was fine before, then changed the slave (drained most of fluid) and bam, clutch master was dead.

best thing to do in this situation: start over! tighten up your slave bleeder and fill up MC.
I would recommend gravity bleeding, it works like a charm and no need for a second person. all it is is a hose taped to a bottle and placed higher than the SC, so the air moves up and fluid moves down.
also when bleeding, never NEVER let the MC run out of fluid! you'll be introducing more air and will have to start over.
and if you knew all this already and nothing has worked, you mention an auto-manual swap...did you check the pedal? there is an adjusting screw on the pedal, i think it's below the spring. it adjusts the throw of the pedal, so check that too, which reminds me i gotta do mine also.

do you see the slave moving the fork when someone presses on the clutch?

reasons your slave or master could be blown:
your master has a rod that goes through a seal. it gets grimy and nasty on the rod where it doesn't normally pass through the seal. Where it does pass through, its clean and smooth from constant use. When you push the pedal to the floor, the grimy part goes through the seal and causes it to leak.
slave cyl: worked fine with old ass seals and your old ass pressure plate. You put in a new clutch, new maybe stiffer pressure plate. extra stress, seals blow, you need a new slave.
If your slave is leaking though it will usually drain the resevoir if you pump it, and squirt fluid out on the transmission.

there is no fluid on trans from slave, and mc still has fluid in it it drains very slowly so little u can barely notice it. so i dunno if the fluid is even goin through it. well then maybe its the mc? hmm, idunno. i will try again tommorrow and if i get nuthin, then i will buy new mc . well thanx agaibn for all ur help

just so you know most good shops replace the slave when they replace the clutch... its just "its time to go."
cheap insurance, its less than 15 bucks.
so even if you get a master cyl you might as well get a slave too and bleed it all together and not have to worry about it for a while.
