Sup guys, i currently drive a turbocharged Civic EX, i love it to death but everytime i see a silvia or a 240 i start to drool, I was just curious about how many 240s they made in 97 and 98 and where i can find one, and also how much should i pay, Has anyone on here turbod theres or is the preferance swapping in a SR20DET <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> lemme know and help is appreaciated!! thanks! &nbsp;Dave

good luck finding a 97-98........i'll sell you mine for 17 grand. (i probably have the most expensive example you will find)
from what i've heard there were about 3000 97's shipped here, and about 2500 98's. if you live on the coasts you might have a chance of finding one. quite a few people turbo the stock motor, and also a lot of people swap to the SR. it is a very heated debate as to which is "better." have you driven 240's yet? they are a completely different animal compared to a civic.

ive driven shotgun in a 95-96 240 sx, pretty nice ride other than the fact that he had 18s lol, but when he did get on it he had no problem chiping 2nd gear, I believe you when u say completely different, what are your guys feelings on the 97-98 style compared to the 95-96<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> is there a big interior difference, is there a motor difference??? &nbsp;thanks for the reply &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

all differences are pretty much negligable between 96/97 engine is same other than the OBD to OBDII switch. there aren't any real differences in the interior either. if i had an option to do it all over again, i'd probably just get the 95, save a few thousand dollars, then take that money and toss a turbo on there.

That is too cheap. It sends up warning flags for me.

i know i probably paid a little much for mine but.....

i got a 98 5sp SE w/LSD, sunroof, ABS, cd/cass combo and 42k miles at a dealer for 15.......which was what the dealership owned it for

i really wouldn't expect any 97/98 to go for under maybe 12k
