Hey guys,

Ever since I bought the car, I've noticed the oil light on the dash come on. I checked the oil level, and it seems to be fine. I check routinely too. Oil light is still on.

The previous owner had installed a Blitz DC Oil Pressure Gauge. For some reason, at idle at normal operation temps (I'm running 5w30 synthetic), I am reading the following value:

Is this normal for a redtop SR20 at idle? I read that normal idle should be around 11-15 PSI. Any help is appreciated, I don't feel like driving the car with the light on. Maybe its a bad sensor?

bump. When the car first starts, the gauge runs at full sweep (10 bar), and stays at 10 bar until it goes to operating temperature, then it goes down to 6.3 bar.

First step is to check oil pressure by means of a mechanical gauge. I have a Snap On test gauge. Once you determine the actual oil pressure you can now eliminate the bad components be it the low oil pressure switch it the Greddy gauge.
