just wondering if there is any differences between the convertible and regular s13's
1. Is the suspension different at all?
2. is the subfram different?
3. will a regular KA24de's manual tranny fit on to convertible without any problem?
4. how much differnt on the chassy? is is possible to get the same performanceby adding after market suspension upgrade?
5. well the swap for SR or RB same as regular s13 to sr or rb?

planning to get a 92 se convetible... so please help

an s13 is an s13. everything is the same. yes all 89 -94 parts will fit on it. transimission bolts up but you need all the conversion stuff. new crossmember, pedals, ka manual ecu, blah blah blah. sr swap will cost the same amount plus the five speed shit you will need like manual driveshaft and whatever. convertibles weigh more than coupe and hatches because of the bracing but it's not like coilovers won't feel better because it's not a coupe or whatever. i think i covered most of your questions. good luck on the convertible. silvia front end on a convertible = :hitit:

thats not true, about "an s13 is an s13.."
the verts had hella reinforcing all around them, thats why they weigh so much more. IIRC, the doors and fenders come with more extensive reinforcements and shit than on the non verts.
Someone had a diagram showing all the reinforcments, and there are many!
also its important to note that the factory vert suspensions were different than the non verts. The non verts bolts on, but its not designed to cope with the extra weight.

i was thinking of a onevia vert for awhile, inspired by wise sports vert, but i decided against it. much to costly and i want to have fun with the car and i don't want to go through so much prep before i get to mess with it the way it should be messed with!

read my post. i covered this. the convertables weigh more because of bracing but the components will bolt on. however you will not get as much performance as a coupe lets say.

stock for stock, a convertible is a second slower in the quarter mile than a hatch / coupe

dubtruck... right, but you said an s13 is an s13 and the parts an interchangeable. Since you are admitting that not all the parts are interchangeable, I'm just trying to emphasize that point.
