but...
Doesn't cutting the roof off of a unibody car, even to weld another back on, do something undesirable and potentially lethally unsafe to the chassis?

I am replacing the whole roof skin by the welds, need to transfer entire skin that has the brace in the middle.

You'll probably be better of just welding a piece of sheet metal in there. Definitely be less time consuming.

I'm having a hard time grasping why anyone would cut off their roof from a shell to sell, instead of selling the entire shell... Why make 2 cars worthless?

You're aware they don't produce these vehicles anymore correct?
