View Full Version : Got brakes, but which MC?

I finally had time to do a jyard run and picked up maxima front calipers and s14 rear calipers.

i am curious if i should keep my stock s13 non-abs MC or throw in the 17/16" z32. would i get big negative affects with the z32 MC?

i normally would test each first, but i dont have much time, going to school and coming home once a month at best. want to see if anyone else had done something like this.

why you run maxima front calipers? Are these 4 pots? Just stay with stock MC. z32 MC don't matter that much like what other ppl said on the forum. It will make brake feeling a little better with z32 brakes all around, but you don't even got z32 brakes. Stay with stock but, wtf maxima front calipers?

Z23 brakes all around. Pedal firmness feels great, but it is a bit low. Still no real concern.

maxima calipers are the same size as the 180 calipers. A nice upgrade for stock power and you can take it with good pads to the track and brake all day long. The pad wears better than the stock pads too.

thanks. i cant afford, or find z32 calipers or hubs. im just doin this on a tight budget and i dont mind small calipers cause they work just as well as big ones for what i do. im not d1 drifting or some shit like that.

I'm wanting a 'cheaper' brake upgrade as well ...what year of maxima calipers should I look for?

I used to know but now I'm not sure. I think its early 90's up to 94 that work. Its been covered alot though on this board and FA, so you can probably search it out pretty easily.

I know I had to purchse brake pads for a 94 maxima to use with my 180 brakes.
