I did search and didnt found answer..
I am wondering what's the down side of removing the seatblet ecu in S13? I unplug it because both side of seat belts are about to give up.
thanks

I don't think it would, you'd just have to move the belt over you everytime you get in/out of the car. If it remains in the lock position you should be okay.

or you could get some canadian seat belts, no power seat belts for us up here

Or go to the dealership and have it repaired for free.

I unplugged the seatbelt computer when I swapped in canadian belts. No seatbelt light anymore and no chiming reminding me to put on my belts.
That's it... as long as you remember to put on a belt before driving the car, you'll be fine.
As for replacing the automatic seatbelts -- they're covered for LIFE. Nissan will replace them free of charge because they are a safety item. Bring it into the dealership and tell 'em your seatbelts are broken. They should fix it for free w/ new parts.
Do a search on here --- some SOHC owners complained that Nissan didn't honor their claim for 89-90 models. Call ahead to your dealership and see what they have to say. Might save you a trip to that particular dealer.
