View Full Version : exhaust s13 vs. s14

Hey guys, what is the fittment difference in the exhaust for a s13 and an s14? If i got an s13 exhaust would it fit an s14? (catback exhaust). what if i were to just take the end of the exhaust rather than the piping leading to the cat, would there be fitment issues then?

S13 exhaust is QUITE different from the S14 exhaust.

The piping is shorter, the exhaust hangers are in different location, and the hangers on the muffler are very different.

what are the differences in the S13 and S14 chassis? figure that out and you have your exhaust question answered.

hey since its about fitment, how bout the s13 cat, would that fit on a s14

my cat fits in my S14 as well as my friends Civic... but it doesn't like cars too much.. prefers the house.

hence cat back, up till the end of the cat should be same, I was also pondering this, like getting the ssautochrome exhast for the s14 and taking it to a shop and just be like, make this fit, but I guess It wouldnt be worth it, or would it. I mean my other option would be spendin 570 bux on an apexi or sometihng like that. has anyone ever done this.

The S14 Cat is in the DP part of the manifold. The Cat in the S13's location is fake:

Why not just get the s13 version?

i was going to buy the high flow cat on pdm, but it says s13 so i wasnt sure, and as s14db says the real cat on the s14 is on the dp right. so if i replace the dp one with a test pipe, and put a s13 highflow cat from pdm, you think itl still pass smog. sorry this is way off topic.

The cat might not get hot enough in that location. It will certainly take longer to get to operating temp, so you would have to make sure that your car is good and warm, but it still might not pass.
