Hi Zilvia. First post, and unfortunately I need help. Ive searched around on the internet but it seems most situation are a little different than this one or there was no solution. First time 240 owner and I just bought a '95 240SX in great condition last weekend the other night, all of a sudden, my car door wouldnt shut. Literally out of nowhere. Everytime I closed the door it just bounced back open. I fiddled with it for a minute or two and it would shut but wouldn't lock. So I said whatever and went about my day. Later that evening, I opened it again and fiddled with the lock, and when it shut it shut locked forever. The interior handle nor exterior handle will not open the door. My key wont turn towards the LOCKED position, but it will turn towards the UNLOCK position. If i look inside the door I can see the rods turn when the key does, but it just doesnt do anything. The interior lock latch wont move to the unlocked position. If i force it, it just slowly moves back to locked. I have no powerlocks. Ive tried everything I can think of including attempting to dismantle what I could on the inside (to the most of my knowledge.) Locksmiths dont think they can fix it and mechanics just want to break the door panel and they're charging a couple hundred dollars to do that. The interior is CLEAN like 9/10 I dont want ro have to find another door panel unless absolutely necessary. Rough start to the 240 life. :-/ Thank everyone in advance!.

Welcome to the biggest financial mistake of your life. And yes your most likely gunna have to break off your door panel to get into the door mechanism, sorry bud

Thanks for the response. I was afraid of that. And hey, on the bright side, at least financial mistakes are usually fun!
