Hey I'm a newbie to the S platform and cars in general so this is all a learning process for me but that's why I'm here...

I was wondering what part is supposed to be where the rag held on by the clamp is and where I can get it. All I know is its leaking oil and I want to take care of it asap.

That rag is covering a breather that's supposed to feed into the intake pipe. The IACV also takes air from the intake pipe (that's what's connected on your's). But that Injen intake only has one port, so the previous owner had to "pick one". One choice and the engine doesn't run properly. The other choice, the car "just" pollutes more and stinks up your cabin with oil vapor. So I kinda understand why they did it. Here's a pic of someone using a tee to connect both the breather and IACV to that single port on the Injen intake.

To re-size, re-upload the pics to Imgur, then click edit. Then you can change the size, save, and use those links.

Previous owner did the same to my car. Some new hose, a tee fitting, and problem solved.

That throttle cable is odd. Also, I really hope that white tube on the back of the engine bay is not a hose to a vacuum gauge..

Good luck!

What should I look up for the tubing with the connector. I'm sure I'm not using the right terminology.

Good luck! What do you mean about the throttle cable and my car doesn't have a vacuum gauge.

Use power steering hose. It's resistant to the oil vapor coming out of that breather.

The silicone hose might look good, but the oil vapor will cause it to sweat oil and deteriorate. Same goes for clear PVC or heater hose.

He's talking about this white tube/hose. It looks like it enters the cabin where a boost gauge would. But it goes to where the fuel/brake lines are. Seems weird.

As for the throttle cable. It's too short. It should run along the firewall not over your valve cover. Just look at the other pic I posted. The one you have is probably from an SOHC S13 or something similar.

Check out this Imgur resizing and rotating action. With some bonus MS Paint arrows thrown in.
