Alright, I have been reading books and doing alot of math dealing with sizing a turbo to an engine. So Far for the ka24e I have found that a Garrett T3 60 Trim Turbo Charger suits this engine quite well according to my math.

I was wondering if anyone can double check this to make sure I am on the right path?

The red line at 27Lb/min is the maxamum flow of the engine, if the Pressure Ratio is reached at 50% of redline that would be 3000RPM, so the line at 14Lb/min is the engine running at 3000RPM.

12psi is the max I'd run with a T3 (Super 60, 60-trim, or Z31 turbo, all very similar).

I like it better for 6-10psi.

Any more, and I'd do a T3/T4.

If you choose this turbo, get the .63 A/R turbine...the .48 is too small IMO. .63 will start spooling at ~2300-2400 andf you'll have full boost (8-10psi)by 2700-2900 I'd bet. That's the way it reacts on the DOHC KA...

Thanks for the imput. I was leaning towards the .63 A/R turbine and that is now what I am going to get. The main objective is quick response not max HP.

The T3 Super 60 trim compressor map was not working for me so I had no chance on mapping out that one. At the max CFM of the ka24e @ 12PSI it does not leave the 65% efficiency.

Intercooling will alow the turbo to run a bit better at this RPM, what I am looking for is more of a mid range torque.
