there's this ticking sound when i start the car and as i go faster.. the faster it ticks.. could this be the timing chain? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dozingoff.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;or is it just the guide that's loose? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

anyone experienced this b4?

thanks in advance
Ken

It might be a leak at the seals of your exhaust system. Torque down the studs that holds the exhaust manifold on (maybe get a new gasket if tightening doesn't help), as well as any bolts at all of the flanges along the exhaust tubing.

it use to be just a lil ticking.. but now.. it's really really loud and noticable hehe and my friends are saying that my car sounds like a taxi <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>

hmm it really might be the exhaust manifold cause it sounds like somehting's loose when rev goes back down.. but the ticking?

hey bing, i'll let u hear it next time we meet up or something.. even at idle it's kinda loud...
