Hi everyone, needed someone to sort of diagnose whats going on or point me in the right direction.

I have a 95 240sx with an SR20 swap. Mods include:
550cc injectors
Z32 MAF
Walbro 255
Full 3" exhaust
S15 turbo
FMIC
Enthalpy Tune

Recently, after every 5-10 minutes, when revving the motor, a puff of smoke comes off of the exhaust manifold area and at the same time from the exhaust tail pipe. The smoke is thick grey and smells like a lawn mower. Scared it might be the valve seals.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

Update 1/17/2018:

Got a tune.
Car is constantly smoking now and those puffs are still there at each rev.
Did a compression test and got 150psi across all 4 cylinders.
Spark plugs look normal, not black/rich. The outside area did have some oil, probably time to change the valve cover gasket.
I'm starting to think it might be the turbo???

if it smells like gas then your running rich, if not it's probably oil. what worries me a little is that you mentioned it smells like a lawnmower. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong. Usually if it's the seals you would have this issue until the engine warms up. but in this case it sounds it happens once the engine is warmed.

have you pulled your spark plug out to see if all of them are black or has excessing burning? or just one of them? this will allow you to determine if one of the 4 cylinders is the culprit or it's more the fuel delivery system that's making your car run rich or maybe the oil is leaking from the seals for the t28?

another thought.... are you Blowing off in to the atmosphere? or recirculating back in? is there any popping sound when this happens? are your just sitting there and reving the engine for 5-10 minutes?

Thanks for the response Kenfuji.

Yes, that is correct, it happens once the engine is warm and continues. I rev the motor after 5-10 minute intervals, while the car is sitting, definitely not driving it until I have peace of mind with whats going on. I am running rich because the spark plugs are all black. wanted to make sure these symptoms are that of a much needed tune and not something more serious.

Also, I am not running a BOV.

Thanks

If it is dry black then your running rich. If it is oil black then I would suggest a leak down test to figure it out.

You can also smell the plug to see if it is oil or gas...
