I have never been on a bike like that. But damn, it looks fun. someday i will try it. It would be a crime to never try something with that much speed. It bet it would kick ass to scream down the Freeway doin 150mph on a bike.

I have a 900SS Ducati. I love motorcycles, but right now I'm focussing on the car, so I'm going to sell it. When all is said and done, then I will get another motorcycle that's even more badass than this one, and hopefully by then, I won't do such insane things on a motorcycle, I can be a little out of control on it (I need to mature more when it comes to riding bikes), and that's not good. For the record, I am always in complete control of my car though.

i'd die on a bike if i bought one. i found a website that sells nitrous kits for motorcycles. i've also heard of turbocharging bikes, fuck that. i'd be dangerous with a damn 13 second harley. i've seen a stock yamaha bike kill a Z06. yes i know bikes are that fast, but actually seeing it is different. oh and being on the highway and watching a guy rev up his bike and pull up hard and ride a wheelie starting off at 80 and accellarating is crazy!

Well, you're right about the "some insane shit like that"... but your numbers are way off.
According to like every website I looked on they run a 9.75-9.9 1/4 mile, and 0-60 in 2.6 seconds.
Then, The History Channel had a special on them, about a ten minute blurb on Extreme Machines. They got it to top out at like 214 stock, with a governor. And they said a 2.6 second 0-60 too. So the 1/4mile times should be about the same.

Ohhh well...I knew it was in the 10's or under. Truth is I've never had much interest in Busa's because they are just insane (of course, Ducati is coming out with a 4 cylinder, 250HP motorcycle that will dominate all, but that's beside the point). No, I'd much rather be more insane and buy a Ducati that's worth more than most cars ($26,000 for top of the line 998). The saying goes, if you never drop your bike, then you aren't riding it correctly, when, down the road (try like 15-20 years), I get another bike, and it costs that much, I can only pray that I AM riding it right, and just get lucky enough not to ever drop it.
But Suzuki knows how to build a bike, they are all fast. Before the new GSX-R 1000 came out, the GSX-R 750 was the second fastest street legal motorcycle. They are sweet, and I want a GSX-R 750 almost as bad as I want another Ducati. But you can't pass up a Ducati if you ever get the chance to ride one, they handle better than anything out there, and look better than anything also. They are sweet sweet machines!!!

i've heard about 350hp turbocharged 'Busas..... the cars cant touch those on the freeway.
I'm hoping to someday get a nice little Yamaha R6, a decent bike with a lot of capability, and hopefully insurance won't screw me up the @$$. It'd be a lot easier to get around campus with that compared to parking my car... (campus parking sux0rz)

yeah I know... but I've heard that once you go beyond a 600 the insurance rate increases a lot.... it's also just peice of mind for someone like me (who likes to max things out) to not have something capable of super insane speeds..... just simple insane speeds are good enough for me.
nooooo wait wait wait..
get an R6.. pleeeease.
you won't be sorry!
would I steer you wrong?
plus if you get a red/white one, it will match your 240!

Actually, if I got a 600cc bike, it would have be be a GSX-R (Suzuki). They make the best sport bikes aside from the exotics (Ducati, Aprilla, Bimota, etc.), and the renowned Ninjas are a thing of the past. Ninjas are really out-dated as far as technology goes. If you get one, you won't be disappointed, but if you got a GSX-R, you would be in love.
But if you are getting a price break, then go with the Ninja, it's always worth it to save money. Also, Blue Six is a kickass group!!!

I got my motorcycle liscence and was planning to get a Blackbird... But I changed my mind when I crashed my car... All that mass hit the wall instead of me. lol. And a guy I know hit the center devider on the street a while back and got himself killed.
Be carefull, man....

Riding comes with risks, I have dumped my bike twice, neither one all that serious, and once because of all the damned sand in the road put down to help traction in snow (bastards). The good news about bikes is that they can get you out of trouble reallll quick!!! The bad news is that you can get into trouble even faster. I did not learn control while riding, and I know that eventually I would have done lots of harm to myself, which is why for now, it is best for me to sell my bike. Crashing on a bike is a lot more nerve racking than a car, you have ABSOLUTELY no control over what's going on, you're just along for the ride.
My advice is this:
Do be careful when riding, and be alert. Cars are not paying attention to you, and some are even out to make your life miserable (I could tell some stories about that). You have to act on instinct when riding a motorcycle, do not push yourself when on a bike, only ride how you feel comfortable. If you follow those rules, you will be fine, if not, then please, do not get on a bike. The instinct came naturally to me, but i made some poor decisions sometimes, which is why I am handing over the keys to someone else for now.
