Hi guys, im looking to put a catback exhaust on my s14, i looked at an ApexI N1 and an HKS Hi-Power, was wondering if anyone had thoughts on these and if anyone knows where I can get them for a relatively cheap price. Thanks for your time.

hmmm....if you ask me...honestly, i say go with the 3" SS Autochrome exhaust...i paid 160 shipped for mine. it got here VERY fast and in perfect condition w/ all needed parts and crap. it bolted up PERFECTLY, nothing is loose or out of place, and the tip doesnt hit the bumper. my current car had blitz nur-spec on it and that didnt even look right, it hit the bumper and left a nice little melted part. the ssautochrome sounds AWESOME too, imo, you CANNOT beat the price, sound, or fitment...why pay all that extra cash on a friggin emblem/name when you can have something imo that is just as good (if not better in some cases) for half to a quarter of the price. with all the cash you can save from buying it, it leaves you more money for test pipe, down pipe, etc. if your looking. as far as other ssautochrome parts though, i have herd good and bad things; but one thing is for sure...their exhaust kicks ass :D

sorry that took so long...i would just bid on one like that...if it goes over..i'de say 200, just email ssauto and ask themto sell you one straight up :p
this is just one style they have, its a newer one, comes out straigh instead of at a slight angle...i have an older one that DOES come out with a small angle, but i like that :D ...this setup seems to be well made too, though i couldnt say for 100% cuz i dont have the exact one, but look @ pics, lol...looks pretty damn good to me :)

Apexi Dual n1 =] ; i've always liked this exhaust and had it for 2 years now and im still not bored of it, and you rarely see them around ; and i believe apexi makes them for rx7 and 240sx only, thats just my input.

N1 dual is nice but it does have clearance issues, both with the ground and undercarriage. Regular N1s can be had from any other company, Bee*R, GP Sports, Uras, Espelir, etc. all make near identical copies but are 2piece, saving a lot of money on shipping.
The SSA is the best bet though, I got mine for $180 and couldn't be happier, my old Greddy SP, Greddy PE, and Super Drager all had faults in some way, whether it was cost, sizing, design, or just longevity, and for the prices they charge it wasn't worth it.

Hey guys, thanks for your oppinions. I have another question, first I have an auto, and I heard that 3 inch pipe would make me lost some power in the lower rpm. Should I get a 2.5 inch pipe or? what do you guys suggest? and what brand again? also if anyone is selling a catback system let me know

Thanks again everyone
I have a 3'' N1 single. Pretty loud on KA and i hear its loud on the SR too. (correct me if i'm wrong) N1 Single paired up with headers, i'd reccomend you get a sound system or else all your going to hear is the exhaust.

I got my from www.rpmmotoring.com for 380 shipped. It was on sale, they had free shipping for some of the item on the site during the time. It's 65mm. pipe diameter. Sound really good not too loud on a stock KA exhaust manifold. I install OBX header on after I install it so it's a little loud right now.

if i am not mistaken you will loose low end power one way or another, but if i am not mistaken 2.5" is the best size for a KA. As far as it being an auto, i dont think that matters. I had my SSA on a KA24DE before i got a sr swapped car and i couldnt really tell the loss. high end power was noticable, and of course the sound was great. if you EVER plan on going turbo KA or SR or anything turbo..get the 3"...you will regret it if you dount becuz you are going to want 3" or better for a turbo setup. my thoughts though, just go w/ the SSA 3" ...cheap...fits perfectly, sounds awesome, and performs good.

does ss autochrome make a s13 exhaust, I need one fast and always like the big name but just realized what I could do with the extra 300 i would save.
my exhaust sounds friggin aweomse. mad props to previous owner . it's one of the best sounding IMO.
blitz 3 inch dp, resonated dp(project silvia i think), apex gt spec 3.75 inch catback. has really bad ground clearance issued tho.
