i am gonna be geting the lenses to replace my sealed beam headlights soon , so i can put some h4 bulbs in , but when it comes to the wiring , how do the bulbs plug in , do you have to change the wiring plugs for them or what?

How much better is the lighting with the H4 conversion? Also, what are the best bulbs to use?

i like the PIAAs, but expensive if u want the HID-look purple/blue get #15560, if white get #15680. theres tons of cheaper bulbs, but u get what u pay for.
most H4 lamps will light considerably better, but don't know about these new "diamond" pattern lamps.....havent seen any yet.....dont know if i want to!

ps if the H4 lens' u get fit a little loosely in ur fixture (cuz some do), mod em with some thick tape (on edges so u dont see it) cuz vibrations will blow any aftermarket bulb

Or use teflon tape (it is white so its harder to see), a plumber's best friend next to his butt crack.

Someone a while back had mentioned some bulbs that were sortof a bluish light, but operated at the same wattage as the normal bulbs. That's what i'm looking for because supposedly they last much longer and they also light better I think.

Is the h4 just a low beam bulb or both low & high?

I got that kit ("diamond cut pattern") on my car...with the green tint bulbs......it looks kinda cool to look at from the front...but the lighting makes everything look kinda wierd. On the highway, all the reflective white lettering on the green Interstate signs has a light lime-ish green tint to it....even from far away. Im thinking I should have gotten the blue tinted ones..but who cares now. Its a cheap mod...and isnt ricey (IMO)...go for it. It plugs right in. Just make sure the bulbs arent broken before you install them (see if there are filament "springs" loose in the bulbs). The only reason I got them was that one of my other OEM lights burned out. They should be decent until I can afford some Ab Flug Grim headlights (non popups) or a Silvia S13 front end 3 projector conversion.
