As much as i love the Twin turbo 6's, i gotta say vette's look so damn pretty. Anyone else feel the same way?

i'd say choose whatever one fits the purpose you're using it for... if you're doing drag.. like they say: there's no replacement for displacement.
if you're looking to more GT-ish kinda stuff.. i'd pick the JZA.
unless you choose the Z06.... but i'm guessing that's outta ur price range, rite?

Actually, Supras are like the Corvette in the Import side of things. Supra owners think they are God's gift to the Import automotive industry, Just as Corvette owners think the same.

What would I do to be one of those ass-headed owners.

The 2004 mustang cobra is supposed to be a supercharged version that puts out 390HP. On the flip side, GM is starting to aim the Corvette to be somewhat of a Viper killer (obviously it's not there yet, but it's well on it's way). As the cobra goes up in power, the vette will too.

I say go with the TT Supra, soon enough you won't be able to find them, and vettes are everywhere!

Z06 is the sweetest i tell yahttp://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/exclamation.gif 405hp baby...yeah. I would take a vette over the supra anyday. I am not a really big fan of Supras anyways. Just get the vette and get a TT setup for it. mmmmmmmmm 650+ RWHP

Isn't it 2003?I know this is the year for the 500hp Viper.....Does vipers handling suck or is that just a rumor?

I like supras a lot... But a Z06 Vette would definitly win me over.
Oh yeah and about ford making a mustang beat a vette? Chevy would never let something like that happen. Unless you're talking about a Saleen, that may be pretty close. Saleen is the only mustang I would ever buy. To bad it's way it's waaay too expensive. Z06 all the way baby!

the tt iz nice but hands down the vette is one stellar machine looks wise i think the corvette wins and altho the tt might be a bit faster (minus ZO6) the vette's still dope

i love imports but i would have to take a Z06 over a supraTT. in an issue of road and track, they matched the Z06 against an 02 M3 and a boxster S and it outperformed them in pretty much every aspect...handling, braking, slalom. chevrolet did their homework and aced the test on this one in my book. as far as being a viper killer, not quite yet but i'm sure in a couple of years.

Having owned a MK4 supra TT, it is a no-brainer, Supra hands down.....
Did you know that the Corvette dealerships in a marketing ploy are offering a free sample a Viagra and a certificate for a free penile enlargement surgery upon purchase of a new vette.
Many you enjoy your vette along with the other 50 senior citizens within your area.....

hell yeah, break out the gold chains, fake diamonds, new toupee and that polyester leisure suit you've been saving. Those same people that buy the Corvette were the same people that bought the Supra's. I saw one comparision were it showed the average age of a person that bought a 3000GT VR-4 the avg, age was 47. So there's no point in trying to say the Vette is for old people. hmm I like the supra better for the engine, and I like the C5 better for styling (although the LS-1 and LS-6 are damn good motors).

I'd take the E46 M3 over these two though. just gotta love how the euros blend sportiness with luxury so well. and 330hp N/A out of a 6 cyl isnt a bad thing either

viper handling is f'ing awsome. it pulls like .99g's and does the slalom at like 72+mph. its also got huge sticky 13in wide wheels in the back. that car kicks ass. anyone seen the n/a tnt viper with 777hp. and the supercharged viper with over 1000 hp. vipers kick ass. but back to your question id go with supra. that engine is awsome. it takes like 600hp on stock internals. corvettes are sweet and all but id only get one if i could afford a tt kit on it. even then the corvette engine isnt as good for mods as the supra engine

It's 2004 for the Stang, and 2003 for the Viper with the face lift. And Vipers handle VERY well, I don't know who you heard that from that they don't. They are heavy cars, and do kind of show it though, and that might be what people mean. I believe they pull over a 1.0G's on the skidpad though, and that isn't too shabby.

I'd take the supra, buy one for $15k and put the rest of the money I'd spend on vette into the supra and get it to about 600 RWHP, just my opinion though.

i've driven C5's before. they're pretty nice, but i wouldn't ever buy one. they're just too damn big. i didn't like the steering, or the way the car felt under hard cornering. although the ease at which i got to 150mph is pretty appealing. i've never driven supra's before, but based on my opinion of the C5, i'd take the supra. that and turbo's are fun.

if u compare them both it has to be the new vett against the new v8 supra...which will probubly never touch us soil....anyways.... ..when u compare them...the vett doesnt have a chance!

i'd like to add the new supra is like 500+hp...since the new is430 is 400hp....jdm of course

In stock form the Chevrolet C5 Corvette Z06 outperforms the JZ80A Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo. However, given the cost of a new Z06, the Toyota would be able to outperform the Chevrolet with bolt-on performance parts for over $25,000 less. For equal amounts of money, the Toyota would be able to have a full race-spec coilover suspension, racing buckets, and 800 or so horsepower on tap. I'd take the Supra. The Z06 is still an incredible car in stock form. Although I'd take an Hamaan BMW M3.

I will catch shit for this one, but I want to see dodge finish the charger... anyone see that concept? Like 400 horses on Natural freakin gas (which costs like half what gas does... but where do you fill up?) and they weren't pushing it, they held it off cause they worried it would be too close to the viper for 40 grand... now that the 2003 viper will kill anyone I wonder if they will resurect it. That would be great. I heard that thing run, full out with the hemi cylinder heads... nothing sounds that good NOTHING. Sorry, you can't beat hemi heads for sound no matter what..

But if I have to choose between the vette and the supra, I say vette, seems more nimble, even though there are a lot more parts for the supra, and overall don't you think the supra makes more power... I never heard of a turbo vette. Only a super that makes around 650 horses.

Id Go Wit The Z06 Cause It Makes 405 Hp Out Of A Pushrod 16 Valve Engine And The Parts Are Cheaper.

i'll tell you what beats the sound of a hemi.....

Ferrari 355 or 360 at 7k rpm's at WOT, hell, for that matter any formula 1 car sounds better. i could tell you lots of cars that sound better, but of course, that's just me. personally i'm not a fan of the large displacement V8's. they always sound like they're about to rattle themselves apart, well, at idle that is.

Yah, true, that one there is a prefernce thing. I used to think that a ferrari at high revs just sounded like an engine that someone poured 3 liters of water into... a grabled drowning sound, but I have come to like and respect it more. I always like the low rumble to full out wail of big v8's, and hemis sound different still. Just like the world will come to an end when you mash the pedal, the sound of pure unadulterated torque I guess. Like when you pass the gt40 in GT3, it just has a wonderful sound to it.

i'd buy a used vette and buy lingenfelter's new supercharger kit. 490 hp for the normal c5, 530 for the Z06. and were talking stock internals i've said this before, the only imports i really really like are nissans. if it weren't for nissan, i'd be driving an 87-93 mustang or 93-97 camaro. i don't care about that 'everyone has one stuff'. if i had an american car i'd be in it to win. and if kicking every other cars ass isn't being different enough, i'll buy a body kit and rims, something domestic guys don't do often.
