I want to put an s15 gauge cluster in my 1996 240x, I know that to have this working i will need the dakota digital box and the s15 differential. BUT, I also heard that a 180sx differential could work also. IS THIS TRUE ? PLEASE HELP. :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:

All the Dakota converter does is pull the signal off the abs sensor so yes if the 180sx diff is an ABS model then it'll work.

Yes it said its a ABS. But okay perfect. & i had another question they said that S15 diff. Sucks. Since im trying to race my 240, will the 180sx diff.make my car better. Basically whats the difference between the 180sx diff. and the one in my 1996 240sx diff. ?

Who is they? There is nothing wrong with the s15 differential. All s-chassis differentials are equally strong.

I read on a forum that the s15 differential on a s14 gives it a sluggish ride that you cant swerve in and out of traffic.

That sounds idiotic. The s15 differential will most likely have a 3.6 ring and pinion ratio, so it will make all of the gears slightly "longer".
How the fuck would a differential effect the ability of the car to swerve?
Also you shouldn't be swerving in and out of traffic anyways. Maybe learn how to drive properly first.

I dont swerve in and out of traffic, i do it only when i need to get to places and i have a short period of time to make it there. But thanks for the tip lol
