I recently swapped an s13 blacktop into my 97. After fixing my faulty MAF wiring(doh) the car is running ok. However the idle fluxuates from 1100-900RPM while sitting, if i rev the motor high and let off, the idle will drop to 300-400 and come back up. When im driving the car it stalls CONSTANTLY. If I let the idle fall to low it will just die.

Also i've read somewhere a faulty coolant temp sensor giving incorrect readsing could screw with your idle. I didn't swap the KA sensor with the SR sensor since my friend sort of broke it. Could this be causing my problem?

that sounds a lot like what my car was doing. i had a bad mafs and i swapped coolant temp sensors just for fun. try turning up the idle a bit too. i also have safc and boosting the fuel helped a bunch. good luck.

booooooost leak. my god damn BOV was leaking like woah, i slapped in a solid pipe and the car runs MINT. only problem is i dont want to boost till I get a new BOV cause im afraid ill fuck up the turbo, i heard running a little boost without a BOV will be OK. I have TONS of pictures I will be posting soon. Anyone selling a HKS BOV =]

You NEED a ka temp sensor if you want your gauge to read properly. Also its safe to run no bov as long as you dont boost over 6psi.

Im aware of that, as I said my friend broke mine so I have to wait to get one on monday. Ill just try to avoid boosting as much as possible heh, hopefully should have a new BOV by middle of next week...

i have no idea what kind of hot pipe your using but maybe you could use a DSM BOV or a supra one or somthing from a junkyard unless your getting your BOV soon...

DSM BOVs are junk... my friend had to crush his just so it would hold 7psi, and I think it was still leaking.
